Interested in joining the Redcurrant Housing Co-Operative? We’d love to hear from you! You can drop us an email (email@example.com).
Please tell us a bit about yourself, and in return we will send you our New Members’ Welcome Pack which contains some basic up-to-date information on the co-op and an informal questionnaire… this is meant to help us organise a New Member’s Introduction meeting. These meetings are held every other month and will allow us to get to know each other and help you to get a grasp of how the co-op works.
After attending the introduction meeting, you will be invited to a fortnightly General Meeting. This is where we make decisions and plan and drink tea. You’ll meet the rest of RCHC and will be welcome to join our discussion. Following this meeting, if you and we all think that it feels right, you will be offered probationary membership. Although you won’t have the power to veto decisions until you become a full member, you’ll be officially joining us in our quest to find our home!
Co-operatives are self-managed organisations and rely on the involvement of their members so regular attendance of meetings and active involvement in the co-operative’s management is expected. New members should also acquaint themselves with the housing co-operative structure, decision making process and online communication channels.
